Michael Kavourakis was initially engaged by TMR South Coast Region in the role of client-side Utilities Coordinator on the M1 Pacific Motorway EMP2DH Upgrade which involved the delivery of 5 km of motorway and busway upgrade, via a series of design only / TIC-CO frameworks. In this role, Michael was responsible for all of the PUP management, coordination and authority liaison activities during the Preliminary and Detailed Design phase across the three major design consultancy commissions.
In addition to the Utility Coordinator role, Michael subsequently performed the role of TMR Project Manager for the Rochedale Bus Station and Park ‘n ‘Ride’ package, which required a significant amount of liaison and consultation with key stakeholders including the local community, TMR E&T branch, Brisbane City Council, Logan City Council, TransLink and the Brisbane Metro project – while also managing all of the technical aspects of the new bus station and busway design with the architecture and engineering consultant teams.
Michael Kavourakis, Chris Mansell, Howard Lin and Brooke Jarrett were heavily involved during the Preliminary and Detailed Design phase of the Gooding Drive Roundabout Upgrade. These key members of the BIM one team were responsible for the project management, design management, highways engineering, geometric design, preparation of contract documentation, and drawing package production.

Since 2018, our team have been assisting the Transurban Queensland business, through the placement of multiple resource secondments into the capital works Delivery Team. Our highly-experienced and versatile Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Roadworks Inspectors have successfully delivered projects including, tolling system upgrades, gantry structure replacements, asphalt resurfacing and pavement rehabilitation, and tunnel system upgrades.
